Built onthe streetsof UP
Not a boardroom idea. A bedroom obsession that became a movement.
Ghaziabad wasn't on the map. We put it there.
Threadr started in 2022 in a tiny room in Wave City, Ghaziabad. No investors. No mentors. Just a 19-year-old with a sewing machine, a laptop, and a burning need to wear something that felt real.
Indian fashion was either too expensive, too Western, or too safe. We wanted something for the kids who grew up on metro rides, rooftop hangouts, and Instagram reels — not runways.
We don't follow trends.
We don't do restocks.
We don't make clothes for everyone.
We make them for you.
The Rules We Live By
Limited Always
Every drop is capped. When it's gone, it's gone. That's not a marketing trick — it's respect for the people who move fast.
Made in India
Every piece is cut, stitched, and finished in India. We work with small workshops in UP and Delhi NCR. No outsourcing. No shortcuts.
Street First
Designed for the metro, the rooftop, the chai stall. Not the mall. If it doesn't work on the street, it doesn't ship.
Gen Z Owned
Founded by a 19-year-old. Run by a team under 25. We're not trying to understand the culture — we are the culture.
Kartik Ruhal
Ghaziabad, UP · @kartikruhal
"I made the first tee because I couldn't find one worth wearing."
Kartik dropped out of his BCA in semester 3. Not because he was failing — because he was too busy building Threadr. He'd been sketching fits since class 9, saving up from part-time gigs, and studying every Indian brand that was doing it right.
The first drop was 50 pieces. Sold out in 4 hours on Instagram Stories. No website. No ads. Just word of mouth and a community that was hungry for something real.
